Hello my friends (in French)

First, this blog is surrendered to my Lord, Jesus Christ. It is because of Him that I am gifted with the ability to write. I am reminded daily, that it is by His grace and not MY merit that I will accomplish what he has called me to do. This blog, therefore, is a vehicle to complete "the good work that He has started in me."

Second, thank you for visiting, AUP 2, (which stands for An Unlikely Perspective 2) a conservative, political blog that covers the vast array of issues facing America today. I am delighted that you took the time to come join me in this ongoing dialogue and batle.

My Perspective

I actually got into blogging and social media by accident. Being an "older woman", all of this was quite new to me just a few years ago. Despite the lateness of my entry into the blogosphere, I plan on using every available tool at my disposal not only to keep a discussion going in America concerning the many grave issues we are facing, but also to motivate people to get off the sideline and get into the fray. It is our civic responsiblity to do so.

I believe we are at an historical crossroads in America and it is time for the American people to stand up and tell our elected officials that we have had enough. No longer will we let them take our freedoms, liberties and faith away. No longer will we allow them to "bail" out business with our hard earned money. No longer will we allow secrecy and fraud to reign freely among our elected officials. It is time to bring back accountability, character and integrity into our political system and businesses. It is time to set America right.

In the words of Samuel Adams, "It does not take a majority to prevail ... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men."

Today, you and I can be the minority who is keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men."

W.O.R.D.S.

W.O.R.D.S is an acronym for : Write, Observe, Respond, Defend and Shape. It is a reminder that as writers, every article, every word we communicate has the potential to shape and change another person's world-view. It should be a job we never take lightly.
