YouTube star SUMMONED to WHITE HOUSE

Dominique What would you do if you received a summons to the White House from the President because you made a video he objected to?
Photo Credit: pro.corbis.comThis story will make you spit up your morning coffee in shock and frustration!
This kind of stuff is starting to really concern me. When the President of America "invites" you to the White House
"to discuss the disturbing nature of the videos,"
which you posted on YouTube concerning conservative's rights to stand up against Government interference, it should send chills down every American's neck.
I have seen these videos and while I agree with much of the premises in them, they are freedom of speech and no president has any right to challenge them...period.
It is interesting to me that while the left could say the most disturbing and disgusting things about Bush without being summoned to the White House for a one on one - and they were considered free speech - it appears that President Obama has chosen not to be so obliging.
President Obama is overstepping his authority here ...way over.
Here is the article for your perusal.
Photo Credit: www.theyoungestcandidate.comThe man who created two phenomenally successful "We The People" YouTube videos urging Americans to stand up against Congress and reclaim their republic now – or perhaps lose it forever – reportedly has been summoned to the White House by President Obama to discuss the subject matter of the short films.
Bob Basso, who posts videos under the name funbobbasso on YouTube, has created videos in which he portrays Thomas Paine, author of the "Common Sense" pamphlet that made the case for independence during the American Revolution.
Basso, whose website offers his services as a motivational speaker, uses the YouTube presentations to condemn "non-representing representatives" and warns, "Only when they feel the almighty wrath of 'We The People' marching in the streets from California to New York shouting 'We're mad as hell and we want our country back' will they get the message they work for you."
He was scheduled this week to appear on the "Jerry Doyle Show" when he told the radio host that Obama had personally invited him to meet in the White House "to discuss the disturbing nature of the videos."
According to a spokesman for Doyle's show, at the time when Basso was supposed to be calling in for the show, he was unavailable. Basso reached the show several hours later, explaining he had been flooded by media calls and literally was unable to call out.
The result, the spokesman said, was that Basso promised to provide Doyle with the first exclusive interview after he meets with Obama, provided the invitation still stands after the meeting was leaked to the press.
The spokesman said information about the meeting has not been made public, and show producers are waiting to see what develops. A WND message left for Basso was not immediately returned.
The Doyle show reaches about 3 million listeners each week, according to Talkers Magazine, and is the fastest growing show in Talk Radio Network Enterprises' history with more than 240 stations.
In his second video, which has been seen more than 1.1 million times, Basso challenges people to let Congress know their displeasure by sending tea bags. It is embedded here:
He criticizes Congress for approving the "largest spending bill in history without reading it" and criticizes American citizens, because "you did nothing."
He raises the issue of billions of dollars for benefits for illegal aliens, the exportation of U.S. jobs overseas and others.
"If your self-serving Congress were a business they'd all be in jail now," he said.
"Wake up, America. While you were playing with the toys of your consumer wealth, you lost much more than your bloated economy of living beyond your means. You lost your representative democracy. Your servants have become your masters. Taxation without representation is tyranny," he said.
He's equally unhappy with Americans in the first video, embedded here:
In that piece he warns of the problem of supporting the rest of the world while America needs to be rebuilt.
Referring to "progressives," he said, "We had another word in 1776. We called them traitors."
Basso is the author of the best-selling book "This Job Should Be Fun" along with 10 other books, including "Lighten Up Corporate America!"
A former award winning news director for NBC TV and visiting professor at UCLA, Basso has a Ph.D in communications.
Doyle's distinctive repertoire includes former Wall Street insider, TV star and jet pilot. He has starred in many made-for-TV movies, but is best known as the character Michael Garibaldi on the Emmy winning Sci-fi television series "Babylon 5," which ran for five years.
I don't know about you, but I have had enough. President Obama is the temporary President of the United States. He is not our father, our dictator, our master, our king, or and other authority who has the right to dictate to any American what they can or cannot say, make, do, write - whatever.
Perhaps it is time to consider impeaching President Obama as it appears he does not have America's best interest at heart.
Remaining Steadfast,

Okay, so I have a question. It's okay for ACORN to organize protests against banks because they refuse to loan money to people who can't afford to pay it back? At the same time, it's not okay for the people of this country to protest peaceably against a government that is spending our money hand over fist, with nothing to show for it except a bunch of social welfare programs? I think we have something backwards here.
Larry - Very good point. I think this situation is very telling about what Obama's ideologies is and what his worldview is.
I think this says a lot about where we are as a people and where our President and some of our elected officials are. There appears to be a wide divide.
My question to you is, "How do we bridge this gap...or do we?"
I am not sure the gap can be bridged. President Obama and some of the other leaders in Washington seem to think they know what's best for us and I believe it's going to be extremely difficult, if not impossible to change that.
He seems to think freedom of speech does not extend to those who disagree with him and his policies. If you remember, he threatened legal action when some media outlets were airing ads from the NRA, questioning his stance on guns during the campaign. His first inclination seems to be to shut things like that down, instead of addressing the issue.
Since long before the general election in November 2008 I was concerned with the prospects of freedom of speech, freedom of gun ownership and freedom of Christian worship after a political victory by the left. Although I do not have a brilliant mind, I have read quite a bit of history, including political history, and know the dangers when those with communist, socialist, fascist or utopian ideas obtain power.
I think that one of the best defenses against tyranny in our country is the willingness of many people willing to stay alert and speak out against the tendency toward tyranny.
Raymond,
I believe it is important for anyone in our country who disagrees with a leader or their policies to be able to speak freely about those disagreements. What I have seen from President Obama leads me to believe he wants to quell any form of free speech when it comes to those who happen to disagree with him. Some of the efforts to quell such speech is done in the name of being "fair". It's not a good place for our country to be in.
Larry - I had forgotten about the NRA incident. Also, there is still the ongoing legal actions concerning President Obama's birth certificate.
It makes you wonder why so much effort is being given to "protect him."
Raymond V Banner - thank you for dropping by and for sharing your perspective.
You wrote: "I think that one of the best defenses against tyranny in our country is the willingness of many people willing to stay alert and speak out against the tendency toward tyranny."
For someone who does not consider himself smart, you are wiser than many people who have bought Obama's "change rhetoric" hook, line and sinker.
I agree wholeheartedly with you. Now is not the time for us to shut down or shut up!
Larry - Who ever said life was "fair." That has to be one of the most ridiculous things I have heard Obama repeatedly say!
Life isn't about being fair. It is about hard work, credibility, integrity and honesty and sometimes a little tenacity!
This fairness thing is nothing more than a ploy to lure many Americans down the path of socialism, totalitarianism, whatever. It's about the elite versus "we the people." It's about deception - that of the common "Joe the plumber."
Obama is scum! Anyone who doesen't mostly agree with the message in this video is negligable in the worst ways. That man should have had a medal pinned on his chest for demonstrating proper use of free speach. I mailed one of my non-representing representatives a tea bag. Makes me feel good.
Jimmy4truth - Way to Go Jimmy! Ha ha! I love that idea!
It does appear that for those who ideas do not match President Obama's, the road forward will be a bumpy one. I anticipate that bloggers will soon be feeling the same heat!
Thanks for dropping by and sharing your perspective. I look forward to hearing from you again!
How incredible this is when our country was formed to get away from this kind of behavior from those in power.
I've seen the second one and was fascinated by it. You know, the man has so many good points, it would take a long time to list them all here.
During the campaign, many of us saw a sad pattern developing and it appears here in your post, Dominique. It is simply this You Don't Agree With Me? You're Gone. We have said all along this is a dangerous man, speaking of President Obama.
I just wish he would do the best thing he could for our country and go back to being a community organizer.
Pastor Ron - My guess is it is the "community organizing" that got him started on this path!
Hello Guys,
Have you seen this video exposing Bob Basso ??
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lv1WjZ5CU7c
Hey TonyL - thanks for dropping by. I have heard about the possibility that this is a hoax and I did look at the link.
That is really sad if it is the case.
However, on the good side, this video has compelled many Americans to get up and get involved and the points I made in my article, I believe are still valid.
I think I may try and contact the radio station or Mike Huckabee to see if we cant' put this one to bed once and for all.
Thanks for the update. It is much appreciated.
Talk to you soon!
